Fast Immigration to the U.S. by Investment

The EB-5 Visa for Immigrant Investors is an immigrant visa created in 1990 by the U.S. Congress.  This visa provides a method of obtaining a resident card/green card for foreign nationals who invest money in the United States. To obtain the visa, individuals must invest at least $1,000,000 USD, creating at least 10 jobs. Alternatively, investing in certain regional centers reduces the required investment to only $500,000.  A Regional Center is defined by any economic unit, public or private, engaged in the promotion of economic growth, improved regional productivity, job creation and increased domestic capital investment. For investors who wish to invest in a new or existing business, have an active role in the management of the operation, and have at least one million US dollars to invest, then the traditional EB-5 visa is the program of choice. But for those investors who would prefer a passive role in the management of their investment, do not wish to be involved in the creation of the 10 U.S. full time jobs, and would rather limit their investment to $500,000 USD, then the Regional Center is the better immigration option.

For either program, the investor must have the requiesite amount of money, be able to prove that they earned the funds lawfully, and not be inadmissble to the United States.

While the Law Office of Robert West handles both the traditional and regional center EB-5 programs, we recommend to our investors the regional center option because it has a much higher success rate and is easier to get approved.  Please contact our office if you are interested in obtaining permanent residence in the United States through investment.
